SSL Security Certificate

If you do e-commerce and accept credit cards on your site this is a must have.

If you have ever payed attention your address bar in your browser? Ever notice that some website's address is "http://websitename.com" and other sites have "https://websitename.com"?

The "https" means that they have a Secure Socket Layer and certificate.  In fact I bet you have been to some sites where your browser warned you that the security certificate was expired or invalid.

This is a the way websites show that they have taken the steps to keep hackers from getting into their system.  They do it to provide their users (customers) with some piece of mind that they don't have to worry about their credit card number being stolen.

I don't spend the money on one for this site because I don't conduct e-commerce here and don't need one.  This site is basically a brochure because I realize that most of my clients want to talk to me before they are willing to spend their hard earned money for my services.  That is why you see my phone number everywhere.

If you ever visit a site that does not have "https" or does and your browser warns you that it is either expired or invalid ..... don't give them your credit card number.
